An editor should have a pimp for a brother so he'll have someone to look up to - Gene Fowler
The firm says it sold out to a firm called Globally Ltd, which just happens to be headquartered in the very same building from which Watford Electronics has been operating this past decade or more.
The dodgy green building in Luton was opened by one-time soldier, Lib Dem leader and subsequent ruler of Bosnia, Paddy Ashdown. We know because we were there. And Paddy enthused back then about this new-fangled notion dubbed the "information superhighway".

We braved the elements to skid down Luton's tarmacadamed superhighways to get the scoop from the Globally Watford folk this morning, but they wouldn't let us in.
A full explanation of the strange shenanigans is promised later today, so we'll update you then.
Meanwhile, the firm has posted up a statement at Savastore.com to the effect that:
"At 3.30pm, February 7th 2007, Globally Ltd purchased the business of Watford Electronics Ltd.
"Savastore.com is temporarily closed for business. The site will reopen as soon as possible following a full review of both business and technological processes.
"It is Globally Ltd's intention to invest heavily in the underlying technology behind Savastore.com, and to provide a platform that will enable it to resume and expand upon Watford Electronics' existing business."
"Globally Ltd will endeavour to fulfil all unshipped Savastore.com orders. In line with Watford Electronics' existing policy, Globally Ltd will not charge Savastore.com customers until orders have been despatched."
So that's something. ยต
