Chip stocks plummet as markets get jitters

AMD WAS DOWN by over a dollar on the NYSE today while at press time Intel (INTC), tied closely to the NASDAQ declined by 76 cents. AMD stands at $14.57. Intel stands at $23.70.

This all follows concerns about debt and mortgages which saw the Dow index fall by 400 points during the American day.

The one bright spot on the tech front was Apple (AAPL), up over six bucks on the day at $143.69 because Saint Steve's firm turned in glowing results yesterday.

Google Two Shoes (GOOG) fell by over $10 as everything started going red all over. At press time it stands at $501.

Broadcom (BRCM) was down by over $1 as was Microsoft (MSFT). Rambus (RMBS) fell by 50 cents. Decline and fall. µ
