Meet the German Ubergamer

Games Convention 2006 Generation game
Mon Aug 28 2006, 13:44
ON OUR way back from the Games Convention to Halle, the small town where we stayed during the shindig, we had a chance to meet a real-life gamer.

He is a representative of the new generation. It didn't seem to take Hans long to tell us the story of his life. He seemed to have played almost every game that I could remember - at the age of 21.

He confessed that he plays more than ten hours a day if he can find enough time for it. If he is stressed with his studies he only plays four hours.

We could not resist asking him about his gaming configuration. He has an Asus Nforce 4 SLI Deluxe board, Asus 7900 GT card, and an Athlon 3500+, with a wish to upgrade to X2 4200+ as soon as possible. He also wants to get an additional 7900 GT and to make a SLI system out of it. He also has a Playstation portable.

I like to play a lot but I am a few years older than the interviewed chap and with age comes responsibility. So instead, I play with the stories and the news - that's the lovely game that takes most of my time. µ
