CHINESE MEGACLONE manufacturer QDI-Legend has spelt out its plans for motherboards it will use.

Legend will use Via, Intel and SIS chipsets, it appears.

For Via, QDI will use a KT400 board it will call the KuDoz 7X, using a combo of KT400 and VT8235 chipsets with support for DDR 400 [marked red] and DDR 333. The board will use ATX layout featuring AGP 8X, 6 PCI and CNR port with ATA 133 that comes with VT8235 with Southbridge and 6 USB 2.0

This board should be available from beginning of October.

QDI Legend already has a KuDoz E7/333 board, which the latest board will eventually displace.

KuDoz 7 2.0 with KT266A and Kinetiz 7E with KT133A will continue to co-exist until the end of this year where KT266A should disappear before KT400 introduction. KT133A will disappear by the end of this year.

Legend is a very big company that scares the Dell Corporation a lot. ยต

* LEGEND will launch 10-inch tablet PCs using equipment made from First International Computer (FIC), a company famed for leading Mike Magee into houses of ill repute in Old Taipei's Zone.
