Blizzard bans WoW extreme erotic guild

Problems of age verification for elves
Tue Sep 18 2007, 09:48
WORLD OF WARCRAFT overlord, Blizzard has stepped into the row over an "extreme erotic guild" whose members apparently try to get themselves into extreme sexual situations in the game.

According to WoW Insider, Blizzard has banned the Abhorrent Taboo guild which has been accused of defending paedophiles and engaging in extreme sexual situations without any way to verify that their members are above the age of 18.

Guild members say it has been reported many times but it is not violating any Blizzard policy and any kid who gets into it is poorly parented.

Apparently since the ban, guild members have been attempting to reform the beast under a different name Vile Anathema.

The Guild has started a bit of a debate in WoW land with some thinking that since Blizzard lets minors into the game it should be doing more to protect them. 'Adult' guilds are basically a law suit waiting to happen.
