Intel launches Sonoma. Again

Wed Jan 26 2005, 10:23
CHIP GIANT Intel excelled itself last night by launching its Sonoma notebooks again, and hosting a party for hacks on the Full Moon and on Burns Night too.

The event was held at Jamies Bar, opposite the excellent Nepalese restaurant Neel Akash in Charlotte Street and Intel kicked out the jams by doing a short presentation of only 25,000 Powerpoint slides.

But by the time Paul Hales and the editor of the INQ turned up, the presentation had finished and various partners such as the man pictured below were packing up their equipment and trying to escape HalesSpeak.

Sonoma is new tech for Intel notebooks. It is famous for being delayed and then being launched a total of five times so far. µ
