CA CEO Sanjay Kumar's job prospects look shaky

Board wants to re-assure investigators
Mon Apr 19 2004, 07:28
Sanjay-kumar THE NEW YORK TIMES reports that a meeting of the Computer Associates' board today will discuss whether its CEO and chairman, Sanjay Kumar, will keep his job or not.

And the paper reports that another eleven employees jobs are on the line, at the troubled software firm.

Kumar may become a sacrificial lamb after prosecutors continue to investigate allegations of fraud and obstructing the course of justice, the NYT said - even though he hasn't been charged with any offence.

Senior officers at the firm are seeking to show these investigators that they wants to cooperate, and that could be the basis for a boardroom coup. µ
