DURING LAST MONTH's IDF Fall 2007 bash in San Francisco, Intel CTO Justin "Miami Vice" Ratner announced that Intel will hold its first virtual IDF in five years time.
However, Intel will not be the first on market with such a concept, since fellas from Daamit already have the same thing on-line, albeit in AMD size.
Hector
and the gang were not in changing shirt mood.
At internet address ave.amd.com, you can see people like Randy Allen and Hector Ruiz - not trying to get in the Second Life with all the haircuts and dresses from the 80s - but the regular serious corporate videos.
And there is another field in which the companies are about to do battle. Intel is known for its excellent backpacks, and AMD is now trying to get into the swag business by giving away 800 T-shirts to the first 800 visitors.
What an interesting (virtual) world we live in. µ
