Corsair DDR 2 1066 arrives in stores

Super fast 1GB for $235
Wednesday, 29 March 2006, 08:05
CORSAIR announced its Corsair TWIN2X1024-8500 DDR 2 1066 memory kits at CeBIT. The memory was real enough but until today we could not find a single piece in retail.

Now our fellow folks in the US can open up their wallets and go out and buy 2x512 MHz of this super faster DDR2 1066MHz memory for $235 plus.

It is not that cheap for a single GB of memory but you have to bear in mind that we are talking about probably the fastest gigabyte of DDR 2 memory shipped to date.

It seams that Corsair shipped a lot of those volumes as you can buy 20 pieces per customer and you will even get free shipping. Here is the cheapest link but if it runs out you can always go to Tiger direct and buy it for a few bucks more.

It is not the coolest timing - 5-5-5-15 - but it is the best that you can currently get at DDR 1066 speed. µ
