Intel to offer overclocking software

Overclockers do exist, shock
Thursday, 28 August 2003, 16:15
INTEL HAS created a web page that indicates it's going to offer overclocking software for its own boards any time real soon now.

The software, according to ABX Zone will allow the ability for consumers to mess about with their boards in a similar way to Gigabyte's EasyTune. It appears that the software will work with i865 and i875 chipsets, and presumably also for future offerings as well.

Intel's a tiny bit schizoid about overclocking, although a spinola that used to work at the UK office in Swindon was fond of repeating that you could overclock its chips as much as you wanted. That wasn't covered under guarantee and Intel would benefit by selling replacements for the burnt out microprocessors.

You can find the story here, together with a link to the Intel page. µ
