Wii email address flogged for $385

You could buy one for that
Wed Dec 27 2006, 07:53
SOMEONE on Ebay has managed to flog a free gmail address "wiis.r.us@gmail.com" for $385 claiming that it will show users how much they love the game console.

The auction was spotted by Techeblog.com and might have gone to a person who did not read the small print.

Most of the advertisement tells you how wonderful the Wii is and gives the impression that you might be buying a Wii console. Only right at the bottom the advertisment tells would be punters the item you are bidding on is the e-mail address wiis.r.us@gmail.com. Apparenlty this "will allow you to show your potential buyers just how much you love Nintendo's new system (gratuitous punctuation deleted)"

There is some additional note at the bottom which advises the bidder not to bid on this item if "you feel it or the Wii market is not for you".

Once the item has been delivered, returns will not be accepted and there is another suggestion to read the auction description carefully as all sales will be final and seller will not be accepting excuses for bidders who failed to fulfil their obligations or "whose children "somehow" logged onto their account and bid on this item."

The successful bidder was one "devildog81784", who has made nine ebay bids so far, so we hope he or she noticed what he was buying.
