ISRAELI PAPER, Globes, reckons Intel is ready to flog off its flash Fab 18 in in Kiriat Gat near Jerusalem.

An announcemnet will be forthcoming as the chip maker lets loose its latest round of financials shortly. These may not be too favourable.

Globes does not cite any sources but reckon the fab, which employs some 3,500 folk could be sold to STMicroelectronics. Alternatively, ST Micro will bung Intel some dosh in return for a piece of the NOR action, the paper suggests here.
