3DMark03 reveals Nvidia/ATI optimisations, Gainward up in arms

NORDIC HARDWARE has figures on its site showing how the latest build of 3DMark03 affects performance on Nvidia cards, and on ATI based graphics cards. here.

Meanwhile Xbit Labs reckons that Gainward is up in arms over this new patch because it disables the Nvidia GPU Compiler, here.

An ATI representative said to the INQ. "There are no ATI optimisations. Once again, it's just Nvidia... The patch doesn't affect scores on ATI hardware. The changes in ATI performance are within the margin of error".
