WE KNOW THAT slashdot.org was up yesterday morning British time because it linked to our Alpha story on the front page.

But since then, nary a ping out of the popular Web log site.

There's rumours aplenty on Usenet - this one -- for example.

But nothing definite... as yet... unless you lot know better. µ
