An atheist is a man who has no invisible means of support - Fulton Sheen
Sen has ordered the Minister of Telecommunications to delay the use of 3G phones until the country has "improved its morality".
He said that Cambodian society can afford to wait ten more years for 3G if it has to. Speaking to a group of Buddhist monks in Phnom Penh, Sen said when Cambodians were moral enough he will let them have their 3G phones back.
Although Cambodia's first 3G mobile network opened earlier this year, only a few people in the country can afford to own them. But this select group includes Mrs Sen and her mates, who will now have to turn them in.
He recounted how his wife, Bun Rany, had signed a petition asking him to act against the phones. When your missus signs a petition you have to listen, obviously.
Mind you, the people of Cambodia might feel it a little ironic that they are being lectured on morality by a former Khmer Rouge fighter who defected from the 'killing fields government' when it started purging his power base.
Hun Sen, "the Hun" to his mates, was later put in power by Vietnam, and incorporated the old Khmer Rouge soldiers into his forces. He was allegedly involved in killing and torturing opponents. But what is involvement in a bit of genocide compared to the moral mayonnaise of your missus' fear of getting porn, we wonder.
