The two models look almost exactly the same as the standard SN95 systems, despite the fact the Taiwanese firm has labeled these as being amongst its 'Glamor' series, whatever that means.
While the black box might be nondescript, the hardware certainly isn't. The SN68PTG6 is an AMD system with the 630a chipset, with all the usual gubbins like Gigabit LAN. Shuttle has also built in Bluetooth and Wi Fi, as well as a fingerprint scanner, for extra security.
The big news is in the audio and video output - not only has Shuttle got this thing DTS certified, but the integrated GeForce graphics has HDMI output for the sound and video, making this one of the most attractive home theatre PC bases out there.
Also out is the SN68PTG5, which is basically the same thing without most of the frills.
The G6 has been announced at 315, which is about £250, which we think is rather good value. If you're in the market for a new machine, and AMD is your flava, then you might enjoy this one. µ
