[E]XTREME Resources reviews the Powercolor Radeon X700 Braveo Edition. This card comes with a passive cooler which makes it ideal for silent PC, they reckon. With dual DVI and 256MB memory, it should compete quite easily in terms of features and performance with the 6600. A good overclocker and a potent competitor for Bvidia's 6800LE, it appears.

Adrian Rojakpot tests the eDimensional AudioFX Force Feedback gaming headset. I wonder whether it won't turn your head into a brainshake. Comfortable to wear for long periods of time, it does actually improve gaming and action packed movies; it has a mouth piece which is also excellent. While there are some inconmpatibilites, the AudioFX is a nice addition to a Gamers toolbox especially at its price.

Phoronix sends us photos and news of the Ultra Products P4 Cooler for socket 775 chips. It comes with a copper heatsink and is a classic air based cooler with a fan with a 3600rpm speed. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but then, it does't perform much better than stock cooler either and it is rather loud. Phoronix also have an interview of Jeryuan Yan, business development department Manager at XGI technology. No real news on XGI products as the interview concentrates more on Linux drivers and support for open source.

Geekrs' almost dream PC comes to Akihabaranews.com. The Sonoma based panasonic R4 A spec is reviewed there. It is very expensive at more than £1300 but it weighs less than 1KG, has an autonomy of 400 minutes, 1GB memory, 80GB HDD, is fanless and comes without any optical media. And before I forget, any part of this laptop including the hinges can support a weight of 100KG.

The R4 however is going to have some welcomed competition from the New Toshiba Libretto U100.This one is based on the Pentium M 753 clocked at 1.2GHz. With a diminutive 7.2-inch WXGA screen, it is a real liliput PC. The pointing device though and the low autonomy might make you think twice before buying it. At $2000, it is an investment to ponder on.

TabletPCCorner does a long-term test with the Acer Travelmate C113TCi, which is a convertible tablet PC/laptop. It has a slightly curved keyboard and weighs only 1.4Kg with a 10-inch screen. Powered by a Pentium M 753 and comes with a 80GB HDD and 512MB memory. On top of that you get WiFi, Bluetooth, IR plus USB 2.0, Firewire connectivity.

Tweaktown reviews the first Gigabyte 7800GTX video card on sale. ATI better get something quickly out to counter the 7800GTX, Plus prices of 6800Ultra are falling gradually. The card in itself is an absolute winner especially when combined with another in SLI mode. You get dual DVI ports and a fairly good gaming bundle. Compare with other brands before buying though. Zut Alors! µ

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
