MIKHAIL Tech has a go at the Jetart NP6600 which is a white notebook cooler. It has a glossy finish and come with a pair of rubber pads as well as a green LED. The pad is powered by a USB cable. Now, you will fully appreciate the purpose of this notebook cooler if you have ever dealt with one of those excruciatingly-hot laptops. There's no pricing information at the time of writing, and while it consumes only one watt of poswer, it does provide with some very good cooling.

Designtechnica pays tribute to the Sony Cybershot DSC-T9 digital camera. The T9 is a super thin, 6MP digital camera with a huge LCD screen and onboard optical image stabilization. As you might expect from Sony, it is expensive, has a higher sensitivity and the 3x optical lens makes marvel. But there's no viewfinder and it won't appeal to prosumers. It wasn't aimed at them anyway

Bit tech reviews the Plantronics DSP-500 USB handset. Since it is a USB headset, there's no need for audio in/out and therefore, everything is much simpler. Admittedly though USB will consume some CPU cycles. Plantronics is a fairly popular brand when it comes to audio accessories. The quality of their products is nothing to sniff at and the DSP500 is no execption to the rule. It even comes with a mute button.

Ever felt jealous of your colleague's new PCIe rig with that super powerful 6800 Ultra card stuck in it? Well, if you're an AGP survivor, then fear no more, Nvidia has released the 7800GS and something tells me that it is going to be a winner. Neoseeker tests the BFG 7800GS OC card and instead of decaying, it is starting to thrive again. It has six vertex pipes, 16 pixel and 8 ROP pipes. As you can guess, the BFG is overclocked by default. Performancewise, it lies somewhere between the 6800GT and the 7800GT.

The latest NEC DVD writer is on test at Trusted Reviews. The ND4551A comes with the Labelflash technology which is similar to HP's backed Lightscribe technology. Now there is a site on digg.com which shows how to do that trick cheaply. And as far as I can remember, some Yamaha CD Writers could do it without any special media. The drive itself is flawless - the successor of the fastest DVD writer out there - but the 16x DVD-R Labelflash disc costs you 85p which is relatively expensive for such a mature media as DVD.

Tom asks us that question. Do you want, really want that 16:9 LCD monitor now? The keyword being now. TH looks at six of those hot monitors including two from Sony. The review spans over 26 pages at the end of which Sony grabs the top two spot. Even though, the reviewer feels that 20-inch 16:9 monitors had a disappointing video performance, bearing in mind that you buy a 16:9 monitor to watch movie more than doing work. µ
