Eee Box spotted backpacking in South America

Getting to work real soon
Tue May 13 2008, 09:18

THE CLEVER BOYS OVER at Chile Hardware, titan of the South American tech world, have managed to snap a few photos of the Asus Eee Box PC - the desktop version of the Eee laptop that fanboys have been swooning over.

The system uses the Intel Atom processor and 945 chipset, as well as sporting 1GB of memory and 80GB of hard drive storage. Like the laptop, this version uses the same Linux-based OS.

The system basically looks like a white box with some funky designs on it - barely wider than the length of the single USB port that sits on its front. It does have a nifty cantilevered stand, though.

Those looking for some eye candy should point their peepers here. ยต

coincidence?

Isn't it interesting to note the specs of this machine compared to the ones in this article?
