Ebay software touts face jail

High price extracted for $6 million bargains

A PAIR OF PIRATES WHO hawked their swag on Ebay face jail, after coughing before the beak in U.S. courtrooms.

The pair join seven others targeted by pirate-hunters sniffing through Ebay's pages.

Each faces up to five years in prison, a fine of $250,000 and three years of supervised release.

Robert Koster of Arkansas admitted selling over $5 million worth of highly-priced Rockwell Automation software on the auction site. He flogged the lot for around $23,000.

Californian, Yutaka Yamamoto made around $6000 flogging Rockwell software worth $543,000.

The defendants will be sentenced in November 2007 along with four others. More here. ยต
