Intel goes Feng Shui over a colour, blue

TODAY'S IDF REPORTING is brought to you by the number 2, the colour blue, and the code name Presler. Blue is for Intel, the color of strength, harmony, and soothing caffeine in the press room, or so the marketeers tell me.

Two is for the cores that live on the die by the blue company, which will probably be much less harmonious around me when they read this. That big, harmonious die will be the successor to the happy chip called Smithfield, strong and dual cored also.

Blue Presler will also be smaller, coming in on a 65nm process. As always, our advice is to buy lots, how often do you get the chance to order a 65nm chip this far in advance, one core or two? µ
