The G-7 oligarchs are exporting jobs to third world countries faster than free guns at a prison break - A reader
A MARYLAND entrepreneur has trousered a very healthy $2.6 million for the domain name pizza.com.
Chris Clark bought the URL for $20 in 1984. The domain turned a small profit over the years as a pizza delivery directory according to the Baltimore Sun. And if you want a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a pepperoni pie, the site is still up an running as we write.
The foreward thinking (now) millionaire originally intended to use the domain as part of tender for internet consultancy work for an un-named pizza company, but the contract never panned out (pun intended). Then a spark of inspiration fueled by the sale of vodka.com for close to $3 million, led him to turn to internet auction house Sedo.
The buyer was undisclosed but it wouldn't take the fevered and fantastical imagination of an INQ haq to have a blind guess at that one. µ

I woudn't call it foresight but rather seeing an opportunity and something to do with it.

I'm smiling while reading this cause I found out a couple of domains arren't registered in NL while that "name" will be a general term in like 10 years.

:) So guess who's regging them.
Do you have fish&chips pizza in Blighty?
Would that involve vinegar marinara?
And crumpet crusts?
I'm also curious about the puds, puddings and meat pies.
When will Gordon Ramsay open a chain of UK kitchens in America?
I've never had the opportunity to eat real Welsh Rarebit pizza, but I'm certain it would suffice the cheese lurver in me.
Oh and another thing...
How long or when exactly will the Inquirer post the L'Inq to enter The Inquirer's London Olympics Extravaganza contest? I realise that a tremendous amount of preparation is needed. Especially on your part.
Cheers.
Don't tell me, it was shuffleboard
Talk about foresight.
