Another lawsuit tips up on Apple's doormat

Appy slapping over colours continues
Tuesday, 1 April 2008, 12:51

APPLE WAS SERVED a class-action lawsuit yesterday over another allegedly exaggerated claim about the amount of colours displayed by its monitors.

Apple claims that its displays are capable of displaying "millions of colours ", yet the plaintiff maintains that they can, in fact only display a measly 262,000.

The suit also accused Apple of "intentionally concealing" the fact that the latest 20-inch Imac was actually inferior to older models which were capable of displaying 16 million colours, give or take a couple of hundred thousand.

The claim also points out "radically different" technologies between the current 20-inch and 24-inch Imacs. Differences which Apple seems to have failed to mention. ยต
