THE NEW VIA KT400A chipset is causing a stir around at AMDMB. It might just live up to Via's claim that it's as fast as the Nforce 2 even without dual channel DDR. But, according to Sudhian, you might want to be careful about version you get.

Nathan over at Tweak News has managed to get his hands on a 19" Samsung TFT display and he's just a little bit impressed. He does a side by side comparison with the old version of the monitor.

AMD Zone takes a look at Gigabyte's take on the ATI 9700 graphics chip. It's definitely fast but you might want to spend the small amount extra to get yourself a Pro version.

And sticking with the 9700, UK Gamer found a Hercules Prophet 9700 that could be overclocked to an almost ridiculous degree. It almost reached 9800 Pro speeds.

Covered in stickers and made from aluminium, the Kingwin KWI-450WABK Divine power supply might be just the thing if you need a lot of welly. OverclockersClub takes a gander at the quad-fanned beast.

On the motherboard front, Hexus has been playing with an MSI 655 MAX. The only thing missing from this P4 board is the kitchen sink. It's no slouch either, especially when overclocked.

The small machines in cute boxes with not much expansion but all the right gizmos from Shuttle have taken a step up. The latest version is designed with business in mind. It has two versions one for corporate desktops and one for clustering. Three different takes on the new machine can be found at The Tech Report, SFFTech and Lost Circuits.

Last up, something that could be useful to anyone using Windows XP Professional. There's an Automated System Recovery available if you know how to use it. Subvers.com gives you the full details and a step by step guide. ยต
