CES 007 Aftermath MyHATO monitors heart rate, alerts hospital

MSI'S MyHATO Notebook comes with Hygeia heart-monitor, which in case of any medical emergency connects to the hospital using Wi-Fi or 3G connection and alerts the doctors.

The product is a combination of hardware and services. In showing it off at CES, MSI presented an interesting concept: instead of showing Microsoft SideShow devices, company decided to push the Digital Health agenda on the screen.

Heart of the matter

Hygeia heart monitor... however, this device is not removable from the notebook. In ideal world, this would also be linked with the notebook, so that you don't end up carrying a heavy desktop replacement notebook.

The concept could really mean the difference between life and death. After all that bling at the show, we managed to see something pretty useful. Heck, at INQ HQ, we could even find suitable candidates for beta testing. µ
