IBM pays $1.6 billion for Filenet

BIG BLUE continued its habit of snapping up companies by paying $1.6 billion for Californian firm Filenet.

The firm produces content management and business process software. When the sale is completed by the end of this year, it will come under the wing of Ambuj Goyal's Information Management unit. µ
