Gen 2 Nabaztag is VOIP device too

Rabbits taking over the world

THE INQ'S FAVOURITE non-PR bunny, Nabaztag, is getting ready for a major update, according to company founder Rafi Haladjian.

The second generation of the wifi rabbits will now be able to hear you (and allegedly understand, too) when you are screaming abuse at it, courtesy of a built-in microphone, accessed by pressing its belly button.

As well as being usable now for giving the rabbit instructions, such as "Tell me the weather forecast", "play me a podcast" and "go back in time and kill the father of the resistance", you will also be able to communicate with fellow rabbits. To be fair, Gen 1 Nabaztags allowed you to link two together in order to communicate via ear wiggles, but semaphore being slightly outdated these days, the VOIP functionality could come in more useful.

The creator did not comment on whether the spirit of the devil had been exorcised from its software, nor on its competence at asking questions to Intel chieftains. ยต
