Qimonda ties up with Macronix on non volatile RAM

MEMORY FIRM QIMONDA said it struck a five year deal with Taiwanese firm Macronix to develop non-volatile memories.

Macronix brings its know-how in flash tech to the party, while Qimonda will contribute its 12-incher at its fab in Dresden and its R&D resources.

The firms didn’t say how much money was involved in the tie-up. µ
