SCO calls for further trial delay

Stalling tactics claims Big Blue
Thu Jun 10 2004, 07:30
SOFTWARE FIRM SCO has asked judges to delay its crucial trial against IBM.

SCO is suing Big Blue in a Linux copyright case, which could decide the future of all of the other law suits it has against users of the operating system.

According to the Deseret Morning News, SCO wants the trial pushed back from April to September next year, because it needs more time to deal with the various difficult issues. One of the difficulties is that IBM has made a counterclaim against SCO saying it nicked some of its technology.

IBM briefs reckon the company is just using stalling tactics and it wants to go ahead. US District Judge Dale Kimball is expected to rule on the matter this week. ยต
