BOFFINS at Taiwanese government quango, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) have backing from OEMs for a wireless mouse that fits on your wrist while you wave your hand around.

According to the Taiwan Economic News, five OEMs have given their backing to the idea.

This is how it works. You wear it on your wrist and as you move your hand around you can do your Powerpointless presentation or two players can play a game and so, to say, point and shoot.

The report claims that the device takes one twentieth of the power of your average optical mouse and is wi-fi upped to PCs.

The Computex trade show starts a week tomorrow. INQ staff will watch out for people pointing at us while they curse. µ
