CRACKERS ARE using the name of professional blonde Paris Hilton to get people to open their latest wormy surprise.

A battery of Sober worms have been released asking people to open attachments that will infect their windows machine.

The Paris Hilton variant promises pictures of the party girl using a variety of subject lines including "Paris Hilton, pure!" and "Paris Hilton SexVideos".

Another variant includes letters which claim to come from the FBI or CIA servers which say that you have been caught visiting illegal sites and should open an attachment to fill in the questionnaire.

The FBI released a statement on its website saying it did not send them and it was unlikely that the CIA has done so either.

Media friendly firm Sophos said the current wave of Sober virius had accounted for over 61 per cent of all viruses reported yesterday making it currently the most prevalent virus spreading across the world.

Paris Hilton is the most commonly searched for female celebrity on the Internet, so no surprise that virus writers have tried to use her as bait, a SpokesSophos said. [I've stayed in the Birmingham Hilton, is she a relative? Ed.] µ
