Hackers sent to boot camp

Give me 20 cracks you 'orrible little man

THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER (no relation) has got its knickers in a twist about a bloke who is running a boot camp for 'ethical' hackers.

Instructor Steve Kalman teaches a class in Certified Ethical Hacking in Bushkills and is teaching people a wide range of topics - from wireless hacking to evading honeypots, a decoy system set up to attract and catch hackers.

The week long "Hacker Boot Camp" is basically a security course, but the Inquirer is steaming because students are taught first how to break into computer systems.

Some hack into computer systems and hold data for ransom. Others exploit new technologies to crack systems, the article said.

The Inquirer seems to think that penetration testing and all that sort of lark is 'unusual' for a security course.
