SOURCES INDEPENDENT OF THE LITIGATION between Intel and Via have told the INQUIRER that Chipzilla might find the long arm of the Taiwanese criminal law feeling its corporate collar as a tape exists of its alleged wrongdoing in Taipei last June.

Video evidence is admissable in courts in the Republic of China (ROC), provided that the provenance of the evidence is quite clear.

Yesterday we reported that Chinese company Via has made an official complaint to the authorities in Taiwan ROC complaining of criminal damage and unfair trading practices.

According to our sources, videos allegedly not only show Intel APAC officials snipping balloons and wrenching flags from their mountings, but also engaging in further acts which even a lenient beak might decide were nothing to do with fair trade.

And no, we don't have a copy of the video, and no, we won't be subpoenad. And no, we're not making this up. µ
