SUNDAY CAN be a slow news day, since everybody with any sense is off stuffing their faces with roast potatoes and watching the EastEnders Omnibus. Luckily, we have an omnibus of our own - a roundup of some of the hardware reviews that have hit the net in time for Chrimbo.

Adrian Rojak has been smoking his Pot again, and has been comparing Mobile GPUs to put together a guide to what's hot and what's not when it comes to laptop gaming.

Despite it being the middle of winter, Hot Hardware is turning up the heat with a review of a MSI 915P motherboard which comes bundled with the kitchen sink.

Native command queuing is in danger of being wiped out by all the horrid diseases that dang European command queuing is brining with it as it invades its homeland. OK, not really, but Seagate does have a 7200RPM drive with smarter, more efficient queuing which The Tech Report is, er, reporting on.

If there aren't enough boxes under your Christmas tree this year, Anandtech is looking at one more, a not-very-Christmassy-named MGE Viper.

There is plenty of decent content on the TV this Christmas, and you might want something fancy to record it on. If that's the case, ExtremeTech has an Extremely helpful guide to building your own Windows Media Center PC with off the shelf WMC-certified parts.

After a day on the sherry, the INQ will be sure to need a little bit more memory. With that in mind, Xbit Labs claims that DDR2 is exacting a bloody revenge on DDR as lower latencies make it a heck of a lot faster.

Why is NVIDIA's TurboCache a Christmas buzzword? Because Sassy Sander Sassen says so, stupid. The green-pantalooned one might pass for one of Santa's elves at times, but he does have a review of Nvidia's latest here.

Tech Connect has a review of the Asus V9999 card here, based on the 6800GPU. We wonder what will happen when the next revision of the card is released.

With all those tree lights, you might need a funky way of controlling them. Lucky for you, then, that A True Review is reviewing a LightBus, which isn't a featherweight transportation vehicle at all.

Looking for a last-minute gift for the geek in your life? Ars Technica has a Holiday Gift Guide that should be right up your street.

We're off to wibble our way towards another dram of fine Scawtish Whisky to wash down our roast, but you can wibble in our direction any time, any place, at the usual address. ยต
