Dual AMD Opteron nForce Pro board spotted

SHOULD YOU BE looking for a brand new AMD Opteron board, you might try this one. The Super(micro?) H8DCE motherboard supports the Dual AMD Opteron 200 Series and is powered by the nForce Pro 2200/2050 series. It has eight DIMM sockets and should support SLI.. eATX form tactor and $429.

Looking to buy a cheap computer, try this one. Walmart is stocking the Microtel PC with an AMD Sempron 2200+ processor, 128MB memory, a 52x CDROM drive, Xandros Desktop 3.0 operating system and a large 40GB hard disk drive. It has a keyboard and a mouse and an AGP port should you want to upgrade. You get other goodies like four USB 2.0 ports as well as an Ethernet one. Price = $199.98. A quick browse on Ebay showed that you might probably get a better deal. There's a Dell Dimension 4100 featuring a Pentium III 1GHz with 256MB memory, 40GB HDD and a 17in Monitor for only $189. Keyboard and mouse included.

Sams Club has a 7-inch Mustek Widescreen Portable DVD player here. The PL 607 costs only $109.84 has progressive scan capabilities, a Dolby Digital Decoder and recheargable battery packs. Plus it is multi format and comes with a whole lot of accessories including a credit card size remote control.

Also from Sams is a Mustek PVR-A1 which we covered some times ago in UK. This device allows you to watch films straight from your MMC card. It combines seven functions including PMP and voice recorder. it has a built in speaker and a microphone. A steal at $98.84.

PC Direct has the cheapest socket 754 motherboard; on sale there. This FIC K8-800T is a full size ATX motherboard powered by a K8T800 chipset combined with a Realtek 5.1 sound chip, two Firewire ports, two SATA ports, one AGP and one PCI. The motherboard is sold as bult but does come with one year warranty. It's only $59.99. µ
