Weekend wibble

OCADDICTION GOT HOLD OF a shiny new 2GHz Celeron and put it on the test bench to see how it compares to both the Northwood 2.0GHz P4 and the AMD XP 2000+ CPU. The new celery packs a punch for the price and you might be surprised the numbers this little CPU is putting up, they reckon, over here.

And Beyond3D muck about with an XP2400+ to see if it'll be able to use a 333MHz FSB over here. Yes, sort of, is the answer...

Meanwhile, VR-Zone has posted up a review of IWILL's P4GB board based on the E7205 (Granite Bay) chipset, featuring support for Dual Channel DDR266, AGP8X, Hyper-Threading, IEEE1394, 5.1 Channel Audio and Gigabit Ethernet and all that stuff. Have a wibble over here.

The Frenchies over at x86-Secret have also been exploring the delights of a a Granite Bay chipset as featured on an Asus P4G8X Deluxe mobo. Le review kicks off here. But they've been a-tweakin' and an-overclocking too, here.

OCAU have reviewed the IT7 Max 2 Version 2 motherboard from ABIT. It's an updated version of the IT7 Max they had a look at just a few weeks ago. Does the change from i845E to i845PE bring anything significant with it?, they wonder, here.

The Neoseeker has a review of the MSI 648 Max Motherboard. AGP8X with DDR333+ support, 6-channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet USB 2.0 devices and more paraphernalia over here.

Nexushardware stick with the ole Nforce2, with a gander around Asus' A7N8X Deluxe mobo over here.

UK Gamer has had a fiddle with a pair of Geforce 4 MX440-8x based boards the MX480 from Albatron and an Asus V9180s. They put them up against a Hercules Prophet 9000 PRO, which is based on ATI's R250 GPU. Their findings are here.

And the Naked Revewers have been a-twiddling with an Abit Geforce4 ti/4200 OTES Siluro video card. Anything but normal, they say, over here.

SubZeroTech chill out with an Xoxide 4 Port Rhoebus Kit#1 for quieter colling they reckon over here.

BiT-Tech.net enjoy the delights of an Inverse blue 204 LCD screen from Matrix Orbital over here.

While those old Naked reviewers score a wibbletastic double with their own MO device, a Matrix Orbital BLK202A-WB-4BR LCD display, here.
