LegitReviews hit hard to get enterprise-class controllers reviewed in a proper way. This time around, Adaptec's RAID 3805, an 8-port SATA/SAS controller was on the testbed. The fellows got some interesting results, so if you're interested in SAS controllers, head on over there.
HardwareCanucks tested something that every hardware reviewer needs, or at least aspires to have. Highspeed PC Original Tech Station Computer Case is the self-explanatory name for an open case that enables not less than three things:
1) You can enjoy the sight of your hardware each and every day. Whiny fans are not on the "wishlist" for this one.
2) You can easily remove components from it.
3) Easily remove the dust from computer components.
All in all, if there is a definition of a naked case, this product certainly makes the grade.
HardwareSecrets tested MSI's factory overclocked GeForce 8600GT. This baby, even with MSI doing the best they can - has only one issue, and its a deadly one: it is slower than previous generation of products. This goes for GeForce 8600GTS as well, and this baby from ASUS was reviewed over at RBmods. This slowness is not a good omen, *cough*GeforceFXvsGeForce4Ti*cough*.
Second review of the day from HardwareSecrets came in the form of OCZ's Equalizer, a laser mouse for gamers and those that feel like that.
On the other side, crew from IT-Review.net was busy with testing Club3D graphics cards based on R600 graphics chip. This ATi's baby packed some nice punch in Crossfire, even though they did use old drivers.
Friends from Hardware.Info tested something unusual, but it can be highly useful: Iogears' Smartlink Transfer Cable for Vista.
Folk not so certain in their own name (OCW) reviewed Nokia's E61i/WiFi Symbian phone. WiFi is in, but HDSPA is not, so go figure what to do with this "Finnish Blackberry".
