Too bad all the people who know how to run the country are busy driving taxi cabs and cutting hair - George Burns
One of the bits of stuff I found through their website is a refurbished store that Apple has on its website. It opens only on Wednesdays at 10AM. There's only a few deals on one page. Still they are quite good. A Dual 1.8GHz Power Mac G5 goes for only £861+VAT. A single processor G5 with a DVD writer goes for £680+VAT. More interestingly a refurbished iPod will cost you £127+VAT in its 20GB model and only £142.62+VAT for its 40GB version.
I went "Whaooo" when I saw this system. The Esys E-PC desktop Celeron D costs only £136.15+VAT and is the perfect entry level machine, at least for me. It comes with an Asrock i845GV motherboard which guarantees that it can be overclocked. The processor used is a Celeron D 315 running at 2.26GHz on a 533MHz FSB and with 256KB cache. It has 256MB memory, a 40GB HDD< six USB, keyboard, mouse and speakers and Mandrake 9.2 Linux OS included. More importantly, it has a one year onsite warranty. Why buy second hand when you can get such a deal
Put in more cash and you'll get the Aspire T120E from Acer for only £210+VAT. Comes with a Sempron 2800+, 256MB memory, a 40GB HDDM, a DVD player, a modem , Windows XP and MS works as well as a card reader, mouse, keyboard and speakers. Plus the one year onsite warranty. It does have an AGP port and is whisper quiet in full operation.
Newegg is selling a Geforce 6600 Gigabyte PCI express card for a mere $112. It is the cheapest such card by a margin. The 300MHz 8-pipeline GPU will help whenever while the DDR 128-bit 500MHz memory should overclock nicely. There's a DVI and a TVO plus the whole thing is retail.
Aria is selling a wireless keyboard and mouse combo for only £8+VAT. Granted that they don't raise the price like they did some time back, it is the cheapest Wireless combo I've ever seen. The mouse is a ball one and has a 2 metres range. It is a USB/PS2 version which bodes well for those looking at older PCs. Also it is compatible MAC mini.
