Sony told attendees at a Tokyo games conference that the PSP will be shown in prototype form next spring, the Wall Street Journal said.
But it won't go into mass distribution until 2005, it appears.
The machine, the newspaper said, will include a wireless network connection, and a gizmo to turn it into a portable TV.
And the PSP will also play moves and games, using a tiny optical disk, the Journal said. The machine will be able to play two hours of DVD, according to Sony representatives. µ
