GERMAN translator needed. Computerbase sets its sight on the Gigabyte GV-3D1 which is basically the first dual GPU since the Voodoo 5500 to reach gamers desktop. Quite a beast in Benchmarks and in looks. Sadly, it is a properietary solution right now and there is no other such ards in sight from other vendors.

At PC Perspective, Jonathan Hung reviewed the Asus P5GDC-V deluxe which comes equipped with the i915G chipset. Its integrated graphics performance will not make either nVidia or ATI jump and the rest of the motherboard features are mroe than correct. Will it stand the test against VIA's solutions?

Dell is diversifying in computer peripherals. They are selling a gorgeous 42-inch Plasma HDTV, the W4200HD. Both use Pixelworks's DNX video processors and Samsung panels. With two tuners, plenty of IOs and HDMI, it should be shortlisted should you be in the market for one of those babies. Later on, again from Extremetech, we have the Olevia LT32HV LCD HDTV monitor is reviewed. It is relatively cheap, has good IO options and good imagge quality. Interestingly, it originates from Elitegroup, one of the major budget PC components manufacturers.

MVKTech tests the which they say is the best PC TV tuner that they have ever seen with top notch image quality, FM tuner, 3D Comb filter and noise reduction and good compatibility. Let's hope ATI integrates that chip in the forthcoming All in Wonder series.

Tomshardware reviews the ATI FireGL V5000. Based on the X700GPU, it features 128MB memory and a PCI express interface. It is cheap, has two DVI conenctors and do not need any power connector. More importantly, looks like it beats the pants off nVidia's solution.

DoomedPC has two tests in the basket. The first is the new Abit AN8 Fatality which is built around the nForce 4 Ultra Chip and comes with loads of ABIT only featurs like OTES and microGuru. This is only the first part of the article with more to come. The second article is more interesting and it shows how to turn your 6800LE into a 6800GT. Nothing much than good use of RivaTuner.
