A DUTCH Court has freed two hackers who broke into millions of computers worldwide and set up Zombie networks for online criminal capers.

The leader was sentenced to two years in prison and his number two got 18 months. However since probation was included in the sentence, the court worked out that the two men have already served their time in prison and were allowed to go home.

The court ordered the main hacker to pay a €9,000 ($11,700) fine, while the second hacker was ordered to pay 4,000 euros ($5,200). The pair have not been identified.

According to ZDNet, the main hacker, 20, penned the Toxbot and Wayphisher Trojan while his 28 year-old accomplice helped to spread them while maintain the Zombie network. Inspector Knasher of the Dutch Yard swooped on the pair in October.

The aim of the scam was to collect ID information which was used to buy PlayStation game consoles, iPods, audio speakers, a graphics card and a camera.
