Jen-Hsun makes a three-way SLI error
DURING A QUARTERLY conference call last Thursday, Nvidia's co-founder and CEO made a statement that Geforce 8800GT will indeed support three-way SLI, originally thought to be an exclusive for owners of dual-SLI bridge boards.
The story went out to several enthusiast web-sites, and couple of Internet forums started buzzing about creating an ultimate water-cooling rig with three G92 chips running in parallel. Given the fact that Three-way SLI requires a special connector, we wondered if the driver guys made something through PCIe Gen2 bus or what.
We have contacted Nvidia PR Headmaster, Mr. Derek Perez and got the answer that Jen-Hsun just got a bit carried away.
His statement was following:

So, there you go - as it stands right now, GeForce 8800GT will not support Three-Way SLI, this will be reserved only for owners of Geforce 8800GTX and 8800 Ultra boards. Given the PCIe Gen1 and Gen2 combination on 780i and 790a motherboards, we're not exactly surprised at this call.
It is not clear will the next generation get rid of the dual “gold finger” bridge requirement or not. µ

I Know this because I'm Ultie. to plan last two 16X slots it seems good start is up d'CROSSFIRE WID D' X & let one set of slots have lane advantage over lesser two slots. allowing more flex in its modulation(less 16X doink), So to not X-X.hahahathere should be spelling for word X!
Down one full 16X Round For ALL. Plus CROSSFIRE X thats 10 Martini RATING to START with some extra dry uses, powerful enough to tame WILD HORSES'.
