Machine Age PC inspired by '30s radios

Bakelite buttons and dials

AT COMDEX last year, we met Jeffrey Stephenson, and was introduced to his latest creation, the Humidor PC. If you are wondering, that is real polished wood, and has an antique clock on it to boot. Cheeseball alien-inspired plastic, neon lights and fan grilles this is not.

So, when you make a PC that can be put on the mantleplace of a high class home, how do you follow it up? Enter the Machine Age PC. As you can tell, it is a '30s era radio inspired fully functional PC.

The Machine Age is known for its rather sparse and industrial designs, lacking all those little things that make modern PCs look so cheap. OK, it will glow green, but that is it, period, cut him some slack. This is the first PC that I have run into with bakelite buttons and dials older than I am.

Whatever you think, it really is classy, and no dragon grille cutouts will change that. I wonder what he'll do for the next one. ยต
