THANKS TO HKPCUG for pointing us to these pictures of a Microstar 420D "preview" ATX board using the Nvidia chipset, err I mean platform, which the site has just received, it says.

At [H]ardOCP, the lads have zipped up the spex of the Creative Audigy chip technology. There's also a snippet suggesting that the important Fry's US stores will deck all Pentium IIIs by the end of the month.

Johan at Ace's Hardware has produced an article showing that Intel's C compiler can boost the performance of some graphics software by over 40 per cent under the right circumstances.

At Overclockers AT, there's a review of the Cooler Master ATC-210 VX2, which the site describes as a "dream case".

This has only just gone up at Tom's Hardware -- its review of the Morgan Durons. And Tom points out quite rightly the chip was supposed to be released today. That's why our original headline yesterday was headed Morgan to launch tomorrow. Then, as the day went on, we had to slightly change it to today/tomorrow, and then finally today. The confusion affected us too - we don't sign non disclosure agreements at the INQUIRER but even senior AMD sources were telling us tomorrow!

And because of the confusion, that meant we almost missed out but squeaked the details in there right at the nick of time. ยต
