Eva Glass and Adamson Rust are praying for a reconciliation - Cupid
Being first to market using the Unreal 3 engine is quite an accomplishment, especially for a small garage-scale developer like Naked Sky Entertainment. I managed a private briefing with the CEO, Tian Mu who showed off the title and took it through the paces.
The game weighs in at a shockingly small 50MB, which allows for streaming over Xbox Live! as well as easy PC online distribution. The game consists of 19 levels and the protagonist is a tiny maintenance robot named Blitz. To manage the small game size, all the textures are procedural and all the actions are physics based. There are no pre-drawn animations which also saves on space.
The entire engine is physics based, and all the character movement is dictated with physics. This allows for some rather unique gameplay including chaining objects together using a 'tethered tractor beam'.
The game demonstrates a nice balance between action and puzzle play and is excellent value at under $20.
There are also plans to incorporate hardware Physx acceleration through a patch. This is expected about three months after release. ยต
