Apple discovers more accounts irregularities

Don't rely on previous statements
Fri Aug 04 2006, 09:56
AN INVESTIGATION into the granting of stock options has led to further irregularities in compensation at Apple.

The firm said that the audit committee of the board of directors and management have agreed Apple will need to restate historical financial statements from 2002.

Apple hasn't yet discovered how much such charges will amount to, nor which financial periods need to be re-stated.

But it warned that financial statements, earnings and press releases starting from September 29th 2002 "should therefore not be relied upon". ยต
