Asus board drives E6700 to 3420 MHz

Akasa aircooled
Wed Dec 20 2006, 15:11
WE WILL bring you the review of two Asus boards shortly, but we thought that you might want to know that the E6700 Core 2 Duo clocked at 2667 MHz can reach 3420 MHz with a thorough overclocking.

We used Asus P5W DH Deluxe board with Intel 975X chipset and hit the desired frequency with a multiplier 9 times 380 FSB. The memory worked at 950 MHz and it was all air cooled. We only used Akasa EVO AK 922 Blue for Athlon 64/X2/FX cooler or Intel CPU's.

They say that a picture yells a thousand words. Yello! µ
