OVER TWO THOUSAND five hundred people learnt they'd lost their jobs today when the company fired them by sending a text message.

Workers at the British Amulet Group received a message on their mobiles phones telling them they were out of work.

The message said, in part, "you are being made redundant with immediate effect".

An unpleasant sign of how technology can be used today. Some HR person has as much courage as a Taiwanese mobo maker standing up to Intel. µ
