THE RIGHT link for the article at Trustedreviews on the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 is here. Also I would like to know what happens when you use a Dial display splitter cable like this one on a normal - single monitor card.

HKEPC has two threads containing actual informations/photo of actual products based on the G70. First there's that rumor that the Geforce 7800GTX will bear the name of Quadro FX 4500 in its professional version according to the 64-bit version of the latest Forceware. More interestingly, there's the photo of the forthcoming single slot solution, heat pipe enabled Leadtek Winfast videocard with twin DVI ports. They also have a review of the Radeon 9550 substitute, the X550 - roughly equivalent to a Radeon 9600, which comes just under the X600 Pro and well above the X300SE. The model, from Colorful, comes with DDR2 and a heatpipe with a cooling fan placed perpendicular to the card. The card easily overcomes competition from the Geforce 6200 TC and normal edition.

Xbitlabs reviews the Epson F3200 Film Scanner which is destined fro professionals and photo enthusiasts. The scanner enables scanned images to be sent directly to a photo printer or to a memory card. It is quite expensive though and suffers from a very limited compatibility with printers. Last but not least, it comes with a full version of a software called Silverfast.

GDhardware checks the AMD Athlon FX57, probably one of the last single core power processor from Chimpzilla. Clocked at 2.8GHz, it is the highest clocked AMD processor around with 1MB L2 cache. It is a must have CPU for those looking for ultimate power. Expect AMD to phase it out when games making better use of dual core start to crop up.

The guys at Firingsquad inform us of a roundup they did on 19-inch High End LCD Gaming monitors. The NEC and the Samsung monitors stood out of the pack but none could quality as the one. Also see how pricing can be very much deceptive in many a case.

Phoronix sends us two links. The first one covers the state of XGI Linux Display drivers for the Volari range, as they attempt to run a Volari V3XT and a V8. Not good not good at all. Phoronix urges them to opensource the drivers and let the OS community do the job properly. The second one looks at a beta version of the Logisys Remote Multifunction Panel . Comes with Firewire port and USB ports, temperature gauges etc. A good product.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
