At $500 it ain't cheap but listening to music without cables is something that can be priceless sometimes. You can now take one satellite with you in the loo. Comes with dual optical inputs and a nice decoder.
Another day, another X800GT review. This time from Bjorn3D. Mr Endre reviewed the 8HIS X800GT and the GTO ICEQ II turbo. The latter is acutally recognised as a X850PRO by drivers. The GTO definitely stole the show and managed to keep up with the X800XL despite a sizeable difference in price. The comparison also include the 6600GT and the X1600XT.
A member of Alliance of Overclocking Arts - AOA has a straight and concise review at Thermaltake's Thunderblade 120mm and 80mm fans and literally destroys one of the points pushed forward by the manufacturer - that its silent fans could do only 21 dBA - which should be less than a whisper. Instead Chaz who bought the 120mm and a 80mm one calls it a hairdryer with pretty green LEDs. Someone else answered that its three thunderblades generated only 36 dBA.
Pentarsys sends us some news that there are apparently some Quake 4 Timedemo issues; more precisely with the rendering - textures being rendered as black spaces and explosions not being rendered at all. Plus some more.
Gognet checks the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 Rev 3 cooler. Loads of photo and step by step installation process description. As for the conclusion, well - absolutely silent and gore-geously performing piece of hardware. You won't be able to use it on all SLI motherboards though, unless you take on those specially designed ones.
Another review of the Zalman Fatal1ty FS-V7 VGA cooler and the FS-C77 CPU cooler comes our way from PimpRig. They are based on the existing VF700 and CNPS 7000 series respectively. How do they compare to the competition and to their predecessors - well, see for yourself. Don't be surprise though if they cost more than Zalman's own non-branded coolers. µ
